Cutting Instructions

Color Fabric

• 16 - 3 1/2" squares
• 16 - 2" squares

White Fabric

• 8 - 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles
• 8 - 3 1/2" squares
• 16 - 2" squares

*Note: Always press to the color fabric unless otherwise noted.

Step 1: Make the four patch blocks. Referring to the next few photos, sew together 2 - 2" color fabric squares and 2 - 2" white fabric squares per four patch block. Use all of the 2" squares to make a total of 8 four patch blocks.

Step 2. Referring to the next few photos, make the star points. Use the 3 1/2" color fabric squares and the 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" white fabric rectangles. Lay a color fabric square on a white rectangle right sides together. Mark a diagonal line along the square, then sew across the line. Trim the excess fabric and press back the square. Mirroring the direction of the diagonal line, repeat this process on another white fabric piece.

Repeat this sewing process on the bottom half of the white fabric pieces. Make a total of 8 star points, 4 of each diagonal line direction.

Step 3. Sew together the star points in pairs to make a total of 4 blocks.

Step 4. Make the corner blocks. Sew together 2 four patch blocks and 2 - 3 1/2" white fabric squares per corner block. Press to the four patch blocks. See the next few photos. Make a total of 4 corner blocks.

Step 5. Assemble the block. Referring to the next 3 photos, sew together the previously constructed pieces. Press to the star points.
